Seeing Red!

Well, the holidays have come and gone. The Super Bowl has come and gone. Spring is just around the corner, but before it comes, we have Valentine’s Day! Our Bronxville stores are dressed in shades of red and pink for the occasion. Make time to stroll around town this weekend and check out the Valentine specials. Fabio’s Hair Studio (137 Parkway Road, 337-1482) is offering 10% your beauty treatment from February 12-14. After your fabulous styling, stop into Chantilly Patisserie (135 Parkway Road, 771-9400) and make a selection from their incredible pastry collection – it’s certain to please your Valentine! Mrs. Morgan’s (145 Parkway Road, 337-2337) has the floral bouquet you need to make Valentine’s Day complete. Over on Pondfield, J.McLaughlin (75 Pondfield Road, 779-4613) has all of their new resort and spring fashions in stock, just in time for February 14 shopping!

Two of our interior designers, Patricia O’Shaughnessy (67 Kensington Road, 346-8786) and Sarah Chapin (6 Midland Gardens, 361-1157), were interviewed in the Winter 2011 edition of Westchester Home Magazine. They share decorating tips and mistakes, even their own home “sore spots!” Congratulations, Patti and Sarah!

Our membership drive is under way! This week, we mailed out applications for renewal
of Chamber membership and for new memberships. Look for them in the mail, and please call Peggy in the Chamber office (337-6040) if you have any questions. We would love to have all of our Bronxville businesses involved!

We have a new member in our Bronxville business community: the Chamber of Commerce welcomes Eco Green Cleaners. The shop, located at 24 Park Place (337-3378), is an environmentally friendly dry cleaner. They are offering terrific specials: 40 per cent off dry cleaning, and 15 per cent off shirt laundering. Welcome to the neighborhood!

The Chamber of Commerce Guide, our local telephone book, has been mailed to residences, and members will receive their copies in the next week – hand delivered! Thank you to all of our members for their generous support of the Guide. Special thanks to Rosemary Campion of Blackbird Creative Services (793-9355) for all of her help with the design, printing, and mailing of the Guide. She is a great graphic designer!

The Chamber is pleased to announce that our Joy Kilbourn Memorial Fund has raised over $1500 to date. Joy was an integral part of the Bronxville business community for many years, as president of the Chamber of Commerce and as owner of Cliffhanger. Please send your donations to the Chamber of Commerce at 81 Pondfield Road, Suite 7, Bronxville, N.Y. 10708.

We invite all of our members to send in their news and information to the Chamber for publication on our website. This is a great venue for you all – please feel free to utilize it! We love publicity!
