To Members of the Bronxville-Area Business Community:
We would like to invite you to join the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce for 2014, and to be among the many merchants and business professionals who make up our membership. For the reasonable rate of $185 a year, you will receive the following benefits:
The Guide – The Bronxville phone book, produced by the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce annually, features a directory of both businesses and residents with both white- and yellow-page sections. Now in its 83rd year of publication, the phone book is a time-honored tradition that remains a popular resource within the community. Our Guide is direct-mailed to more than 6,000 people in the 10708 ZIP code. As a member, you will receive a bold listing in the white pages, a listing in the yellow pages, and the option of purchasing advertising.
**IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER YOU WILL NOT LISTED IN THE YELLOW PAGES OF THIS WIDELY USED BOOK.**
Two listings on our website (www.Bronxvillechamber.com) in the Member Directory section–one in the alphabetical section and one in the business category section. Both allow for a link to your website. This gives you unlimited exposure beyond our Village borders.
Networking opportunities at our many social events during the year for you to share your business experience and to meet and greet other members. These meetings occasionally feature guest speakers on topics and issues of interest to our membership.
A Liaison with local and state government officials to represent your business concerns.
Mentions in Chamber-Issued Media – The Chamber issues a weekly e-newsletter to our database called “Chamber Chatter,” which promotes the business interests of Chamber members. We also have a weekly column called “Chamber Chatter” on MyHometownBronxville.com that achieves the same objectives. The Chamber also promotes member interests to the community via social media, such as Facebook and Twitter. Chamber Chatter is also accessible on the Chamber’s website. Our office also alerts local media to highlights concerning our members when a feature article may be warranted.
Referrals to businesses who are members. We are often the first point of contact for prospective residents, visitors, and businesses seeking information about schools, healthcare, professional services, employment opportunities, shops and restaurants.
Community Events – The Chamber organizes many events throughout the year to foster good community relations and encourage patronage of Village merchants. These events also allow members to serve as sponsors. The roster includes:
- Spring and Fall Sidewalk Sales
- Children’s Halloween Festival
- Summer Street Concert Series in town featuring local bands
- Light up the Town holiday tree lighting with carolers and a visit from Santa
- Farmers’ Market every Saturday from mid-May to late November
Marketing Ideas – The Chamber looks out for member interests by identifying opportunities for marketing, synergy, and cross-promotion, to name a few. The Chamber Executive Director issues weekly emails to members with such suggestions and works with members on a one-on-one basis as needed.
At the Chamber we work to be your advocate, your support and your connection to the business community, the residential community, and village government.
In short, the Chamber is here to support you and your business. We are open to suggestions and ideas for providing enhanced member services, so please send us your feedback.
Thank you and we look forward to having you become part of the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce.
